CSU basketball program stripped scholarship
The Colorado State men’s basketball program had a scholarship stripped for the upcoming season, a result of failing to meet the NCAA minimum Academic Progress Report (APR) score of 925 for the 2008-2009 season. The program’s multiyear APR score was 859.
The school quickly pointed out that the score is not a reflection of the work of head coach Tim Miles, who has improved the APR score over the past two seasons, but rather the ineptitude of previous head coach Dayle Layer, who oversaw the program when the scores plummeted over his final two seasons. Whereas the scores were 800 and 773 in his last seasons at Colorado State, Miles has oversaw the program as it reached 950 and 920 during his two years in Fort Collins. ( Read More…)
